7:47 power goes out

7:47 p.m. I open my lesson plan template to begin sketching the next day.  Power goes out right after Word has loaded.

8:47 p.m. After having a cold, candlelight dinner with the family, I packed up my stuff to head over to my aunt’s to grab some power and some interweb… Power comes back on.  Literally, keys in hand, just turning the knob out the back.

Mind you, this is all after we student teachers had a guest presentation this evening from a local school administrator who enjoyed making cracks at English and social studies majors who were entering the job market this Spring.

Does the universe not want me to be a teacher today?
