Using online Word documents for IEPs

I was training some staff on using Office 365’s Word Online.  In demonstrating how to use Word to share authorship in live time on the same document, two special education teachers started glowing: this solved a big problem for them.  Instead of bouncing multiple versions back and forth via email attachment about the students they shared in class, they would co-author their IEPs online!  With such sensitive documents, you want to be sure that everyone’s input was collected but also that there was another set of eyes when writing the documentation.

This idea allows for accuracy in documentation as multiple authors contribute.  Increasingly, professionals need to exchange a document in order to suggest revisions.  Why fill your inbox with multiple attachments and confusing your editions: keep it the same with Word online.  Big or small, innovation comes in many sizes.
